Lester Vernon Swenson, 88, a Gardnerville resident died Aug. 22, 2009, at Carson Valley Medical Center. Born May 4, 1921, in Decorah, Iowa, Mr. Swenson is survived by his wife Maxine Swenson of Gardnerville; stepson Gary Kridler; sisters Nadine Waurin and Helen Larsen; step-grandson Josh Kridler, and step-great-grandchildren Kaden and James Kridler.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
