Staff Reports

Volunteers are people who reach out to make the community a better place and the Family Support Council couldn't accomplish what they do without them. The Family Support Council is in need of volunteers to be child activity providers and receptionists.

People who enjoy playing with children and who are available for a few hours evenings could volunteer as child activity providers.

Child activity providers work with children while their parents attend support groups and parenting classes. They introduce age-appropriate activities with the purpose of teaching non-violent conflict resolution and self-esteem building.

Friendly people with a morning or afternoon available once a week or more, could be good candidates for receptionist volunteers at the Family Support Council. Duties include taking phone messages and office duties.

Volunteer training classes start soon. Information, Pam Russell at 782-8692. The Family Support Council is at 1255 Waterloo Lane, Suite A, Gardnerville.
