Two people accused of getting a 14-year-old girl drunk and then having sex with her are in district court this morning. Donald J. Reynolds and Julie Fry-Cruz are entering pleas pursuant to an agreement with the District Attorney's Office. Both face charges of sexual assault on a child under the age of 16.

It looks like we got through another red flag warning without any major wildfires on Sunday. Capt. Terry Taylor confirmed that the small grass fire between Genoa and Walley's Hot Springs was the result of target shooting using jacketed ammunition. With our low humidity and breezy weather, it wouldn't surprise me to learn that the chance of ignition is 100 percent. So be careful out there.

County commissioners are holding a four-hour workshop at the Carson Valley Arts Council building in Minden. The workshop kicks off at 1 p.m.

It will be cooler today, with a high temperature of 86 degrees under sunny skies. The winds will be back with us at 5-15 mph and gusts of up to 25 mph, but it will be nothing like Sunday, when gusts hit 40 mph.
