Taxable sales for September in Douglas County also came to within $6 million of Carson City's $54.53 million in sales.
The capital experienced a 23.8 percent decrease in sales from last year.
For the fiscal year starting July 1, Douglas is 16.3 percent behind the previous year with $175.88 million in revenue so far.
