Celebrate world music at free drum concert

A free live drum and dance production of "Durga, A Celebration of Cultures and Music Around the World" is 6:30 p.m. Dec. 14 in the Carson Valley Methodist Church Conference Hall, 1375 Centerville Lane, Gardnerville.

The show features drummer and cultural music educator Liz Broscoe accompanied by guest drummers and dancers who perform Interactive rhythm and dances from Egyptian, African and Native American cultures. The show is appropriate for all ages. Children will have the opportunity to make and take home a rhythm shaker. Youth must be accompanied by an adult.
