The National Weather Service says Northern Nevada and the greater Lake Tahoe area will be under a winter storm warning until 7 p.m. today.
Snow accumulations of 6 to 12 inches were reported in the valleys with 10-to-18 inches in the foothills.
Tonight is expected to be mostly cloudy with a chance of snow showers. Lows are predicted from 2 below zero to 8 above, northwest winds 10-to-15 mph.
Tuesday is expted to be mostly cloudy with highs 17 to 27 and west winds 10-to-15 mph.
Tuesday night calls for partly cloudy skies with lows 5 below to 5 above zero, west winds around 10 mph.
Snow accumulations of 15 to 25 inches were reported at the lake today with 2-to-3-feet above 7,000 feet.
Tonight's lows at the lake are expected at 4 below zero to 6 above with west winds up to 10 mph.
