A memorial service is noon Jan. 3 in the Genoa Masonic Hall for former Genoan Michael Alexander Sourikoff, 59, who died Aug. 17, 2009, in Carson City.
Born June 19, 1950, in San Francisco to Florence and Alex Sourikoff, he moved to the Carson Valley area with his family in 1992.
He was a volunteer firefighter and became a bus driver for the Douglas County School District in 2004.
He enjoyed fishing and camping with his children.
He is survived by son Samuel Michael Sourikoff; daughter Julia Blake Sourikoff; sister Judy Sourikoff Strom; and ex-wife Barbara Sourikoff.
