Justice Ron Parraguirre Tuesday announced he will seek election to a second six year term on the Nevada Supreme Court.

He praised the changes the court has made in recent years saying the streamlined court system ensures "that every citizen has a voice in the system."

A fourth generation Nevadan, he was first elected to the Supreme Court in 2004, succeeding Justice Deborah Agosti who retired.

Prior to that, he was a district judge in Clark County for five years and before that, served three terms on the Municipal Court Bench.

Chief Justice Jim Hardesty, also completing his first term, has also announced plans to run for a second term on the court.
