What do a laughing horse, a man dancing in the park and chattering chipmunks have in common? Photos of them tickled the funny bone of Carson Valley Photo Club judges and won them ribbons for December. The contest theme was "humor."
Nancy Hulsey's photo of a horse that seems to be laughing took top honors. She titled the photo "He Said What?"
Carl Heinricks photographed a man dancing in public, titled it "Tango in the Park" and won second place.
The white ribbon for third place went to Diane Gilmore for her shot of three chipmunks seemingly carrying on a conversation. "Hey, is your Name Alvin?" is the title for her picture.
Rules were changed for the December contest, allowing members to submit photos taken anytime during the year.
Club members also have elected Doug Dill as president for 2010. David Colon will serve as vice president. Merry Muller was elected secretary and Darlene Dils was chosen to serve as treasurer.
The photo club meets the second Tuesday each month at the Carson Valley United Methodist Church, 1375 Centerville Lane, Gardnerville. Information, Doug Dill, 783-4388.
