The All-Sierra Nevada Media Group teams were selected by sports writers at the Nevada Appeal, The Record-Courier, Tahoe Daily Tribune, Sierra Sun, Lahontan Valley News and the North Lake Tahoe Bonanza. Athletes from the schools regularly covered by the group's papers were eligible for selection. Soccer teams will be published Friday and the football team will be published next week.
Alyssa Meihack, sr., Fallon: Meihack was the team's best server with a .9 average in aces and led the team with a 2.8 dig average and a 5.1 assist average.
Mysta Townsell, sr., Douglas: One of the top defensive players in the area, Townsell led the Tigers with 365 digs on the year. She also had 23 aces and 109 service points on her way to first-team All-Sierra League honors.
Shannon Dugan, jr., Douglas: Dugan led the team with 241 kills on her way to first-team all-league honors. She added a team-leading 43 assists and had 119 service points and 78 digs.
Merry Brown, sr., Truckee: The powerful middle blocker on the state champion Wolverines was voted to the All-State and Northern 3A All-League first teams.
Jourdan Burke, sr., Douglas: Burke posted 227 kills on the year and had 70 blocks, 56 digs and 23 aces.
Kaylee Waters, sr., Truckee: A natural athlete and leader on the court, the third-year varsity player and senior libero was voted All-State and Northern 3A MVP.
Kenyah Brown, sr., Fallon: Brown led the team with a 1.6 per game average in kills and a 0.7 blocking average.
Jeanette Vansickle, jr., Carson: First-team All-Sierra League selection.
Angela Augusta, soph., Carson: Second-team All-Sierra League pick.
Isabel Concha-Foley, sr., Whittell: One of the hardest-hitting front-line players in the state, Concha-Foley earned Northern 2A League first-team honors and led her team to the state finals.
Alex Roberts, jr., Yerington: First-team All-Northern 3A selection.
Caitlynn Marsh, jr. Fallon: Marsh finished with a 1.5 kill average.
Alissa Vickers, Dayton: First-team All-Northern 3A selection.
Lauren Andrew, sr., Whittell: The versatile outsider hitter and setter was selected as the Northern 2A League most valuable player. A knee injury in the regional tournament cut her season short.
