RENO, Nev. - Tahnee Robinson scored a career-high 21 points while Kayla Williams and Nicole Williams each added their first career double-double as Nevada beat Washington State 75-54 Tuesday night in front of 580 fans.
With the win Nevada improved to 6-5 on the year and snapped a three-game losing streak while Washington State fell to 5-6.
A layup by Robinson with 10:36 left in the first half put Nevada up by three, 14-11. The Pack used a 16-5 run over the last six minutes and eight seconds of the first half to pull away and go into halftime leading 34-29.
In the second half, the Pack stretched its lead to 12 points, 50-38, on a layup by Marianne Lombardi with 12:05 left in the game. Nevada again used a big run to end the half going on a 15-5 run over the last five minutes and 25 seconds of the game to post the 75-54 win.
N. Williams scored a career-high 15 points and added a career-high 10 rebounds while K. Williams scored 10 points and added 12 rebounds. As a team the Pack outrebounded the Cougars 54-to-37. Nevada recorded 17 assists on 28 field goals.
Nevada will travel to San Diego, Calif., for the Maggie Dixon Surf N Slam Classic on December 28 and 30. The Pack will take on host San Diego on December 28 and will face either Cal or Boston College on December 30.
