With two Douglas County commissioners and engineers from both Carson and Douglas in the audience Minden Town Board members hammered out three agreements on Tuesday that will permit the town to provide water to the county, the capital and Indian Hills. The agreements are going through the attorney mill and will be back for possible approval at the town board's first meeting in January.

There are a few road controls left over from Tuesday's storm, including a requirement for chains or snow tires on Highway 50 to Stateline and on Highway 28 to about Sand Harbor. Highway 88 is also requiring chains or snow tires on the far side near Ham's Station.

It's chilly out this morning. My thermometer is registering 12 degrees here in Genoa. It's 13 degrees in Fish Springs and 12 degrees in Minden. I can see lights across the Valley, so the fog may not be back yet. It's supposed to return tonight.
