Douglas' Johnny Pollack can add one more award to his already well-decorated senior season.

Pollack, who was named the Northern 4A's Player of the Year by the region's coaches and the Reno Gazette-Journal, along with garnering a spot on the All-Sierra Nevada Media team, was named to the Las Vegas Review-Journal All-State Football Team on Wednesday.

The Tiger standout was one of five players in the state to earn distinction on both sides of the ball, getting a first-team mention at linebacker and a second-team mention at running back.

Pollack led the Northern 4A in rushing with 1,054 yards and 11 touchdowns and recorded 95 tackles on defense with 10 of them going for a loss.

But Pollack wasn't the only Tiger recognized by the Las Vegas paper.

Senior defensive lineman Garrett Tenney and senior kicker Nikolai Vasquez earned second-team all-state honors.

Other two-way honorees included state player of the year Evan Weinstock of Del Sol, who earned first-team honors at defensive back and wide receiver, Carson High lineman Justin Barlow, a first-teamer on the offensive and defensive lines, Reed's Aaron Greenblatt, a first-team wide receiver and second-team punter and Manogue's Connor Talbott, a second-team offensive lineman and linebacker.

Also getting first-team accolades from the Northern 4A were Carson defensive back Josh Peacock, Reed quarterback Tyler Pine, Reed running back Christian Thompson, Reed offensive lineman Kyle Roberts, Spanish Springs defensive lineman Humberto Espinoza and Spanish Springs linebacker Luke Arciniega.

Second-teamers included Galena wide receiver Garrett Shutt, Carson kick returner Dylan Sawyers, Carson linebacker Luke Carter and Hug defensive back Tre Johnson.

Sawyers was one of only three sophomores to earn all-state honors.
