A memorial service is 3 p.m. Sunday at the First Congregational Church of Reno, 627 Sunnyside Drive, for former Carson Valley resident and businessman Phillip Edward Frink, 65, who died Dec. 15, 2009.
Born Aug. 29, 1944, to Wendell and Margaret Forgette Frink, in Springfield, Mass., he served in the U.S. Army.
He attended Stanford University. He earned a degree in accounting.
Shortly after graduating, he was employed by a title company and began his career as a title officer and foreclosure officer.
He started his own foreclosure business, Northern Nevada Trust Deed Services, with an office in Las Vegas and one in Reno.
In 2006, he and his wife Linda opened the offices of Phil Frink & Associates. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, and camping with his family.
Mr. Frink is survived by his wife of 26 years, Linda; son Aaron (Chris) McBride; daughters Cassie Marshall, Debbie MacClements, Stacey Larson, and Lori Elder; grandsons Travis Marshall, Ryan Marshall, Jeremiah McBride, Isaac McBride, Matthew Wilkie, Jason Wilkie, Jacob Perlichek, and Taylor Stephens; granddaughters Ashley Perlichek, and Kaylan Perlichek; great granddaughters Emma Olson, Lilly Wilkie, and Thea Stephens; brother Leroy (Helen) Frink and sister Joyce (Ronald) Midwood and many nieces and nephews.
