Carson Valley Clays Gun Club officers and board members would like to thank its membership and the Carson Valley community for the generosity, tremendous support and participation during the Super Bowl benefit shoot for Jerad Lees on Jan. 31 at Carson Valley Clays Gun Club on China Spring Road.
Lees, who was diagnosed with leukemia several months ago, has undergone chemotherapy and is waiting for a bone marrow transplant. Lees was an employee of Sunshine Construction but has been unable to work during his treatments.
The shoot was the second largest shoot in club history, except for state shoots, with a total of 90 shooters participating. The fundraising raffle had more than 65 prizes, all donated from the community, with a majority of the donations coming from club members.
A heartfelt thank-you goes to the following people for their help and donations: Alton Anker of A&A Construction, Ron Wilson's Nexxus products, Jethro's, Wade Lindquist, Overland Hotel, Cody Bonfiglio, Walker River Resort, Clipper's Dog Grooming, Mike Mandichak, Gary Midkiff, Shirley Hansen, Carson Valley Chukar Club, Steve and Linda White, Costco, Rich's Highway House, Jerome Etchegoyhen, Alan Phillips, Wasabi's, Andy and Liz Concannon, Bob Smith, Ed Cardoza, Sharkey's, Ray Robertson, Joe Valentine, Historian Inn, Buckaroos, Get er' Done Cleaning Service, Jeff Northcote, Chuck Paya, Bryon Slobe, Jonni Hill, Hamdogs, J.
