Snow levels are expected to drop to 4,000 to 4,500 feet by Friday night, according to the National Weather Service. Forecasters expect rain and snow showers today through Saturday with the possibility of a couple of inches of snow down to the Valley floors early Saturday morning. The more intense showers will be localized, so there's no telling who will be on the receiving end. Today expect rain showers after 10 a.m.

A smaller Valley Christian Fellowship will greet county commissioners and neighbors today when commissioners rehear the church approval. The county's set aside 90 minutes for the discussion, so it sounds like it will be a bumpy ride.

The new owners of David Walley's Hot Springs are applying for their liquor license. Celebrity Resorts of Genoa is taking over the hot springs and is seeking approval for a full bar and catering license at today's Douglas County Commission meeting.
