It's soupy outside, with a temperature in Genoa of 39 degrees. It doesn't appear like the rain will be turning to snow in the Valley anytime soon. The National Weather Service radar is showing the mountains above us got near an inch of moisture over night. There was an accident on Highway 395 at Penrod that had flaggers out for an hour while the Nevada Highway Patrol investigated. The highway patrol Web site is reporting it as a non-injury accident that occurred at 5:11 a.m. They expected to wrap up by 6:30 a.m.

The forecast for today is for isolated showers before 10 a.m. and then clearing through the day. The high today is expected to hit 52. It will be breezy as the storm is blown through with winds 10-15 mph with 25 mph gusts.
