A memorial service is 11 a.m. Saturday at Carson Valley United Methodist Church in Gardnerville for 14-year resident Hertha Eleanor Williams, 77, who died Jan. 2, 2009 at St. Mary's Hospital in Reno.
She was born Nov. 30, 1931 in Varnamo, Sweden.
Mrs. Williams is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, James; daughter Annette Reimers and grandson Dane Williams.
She is survived by sons James Jr. and Dean Williams; daughters-in-law Valen and Andrea Williams; grandchildren Justin (Haley), Christopher and Lindsay Reimers, Hayley, Madison and Nicolas Williams; great-granddaughter Lilly Reimers; and mother-in-law Marion Mahan.
A reception will immediately follow at the church, located at 1375 Centerville Lane. Arrangements are in care of FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home.
