Tahoe Youth & Family Services would like to thank the South Lake Tahoe and Minden/Gardnerville communities for helping us reach a record goal of donations in December 2008. A total of $14,580 in cash and in-kind donations of goods and services were received in the month of December.
In addition, we would like to thank the South Lake Tahoe Starbucks at the "Y" and at Stateline for their participation in our first annual Teen Angel Tree Holiday gift program. The community support was amazing! In the end we received $3,080 in cash and in-kind donations for the Angel Tree gift drive. We were able to present gifts to over 40 clients in the South Lake and Gardnerville communities.
A big thanks to Heather Avila and Ashlee Francis for all of their hard work on this wonderful gift drive, and to all of you who helped TYFS make the holiday brighter for so many. In this challenging time of economic hardship we are especially appreciative. Thank you for your selfless generosity this holiday season and Happy New Year!
