The Tahoe Douglas Rotary Club hosts the 41st annual St. Patrick's Day Celebration, 6-10 p.m. March 17, at Harrah's Tahoe convention center. The Irish buffet dinner features corned sirloin of beef and cabbage with all the trimmings. Sample pours of California wine and Irish beer. Dance music provided by JJ Entertainment.
The event features raffles and a silent auction from more than 200 donated items including ski passes, room packages, spa treatments, golf passes, autographed sports memorabilia and game tickets, artwork, dining certificates and 75 accommodation packages from Embassy Suites.
The St. Patrick's Day Celebration is Rotary's major fundraiser to provide college scholarships and donations to local nonprofit organizations. The proceeds from last year's event allowed the Tahoe Douglas Rotary Club to donate $33,750 to 27 community programs at Lake Tahoe.
The ticket donation for the St. Patrick's Day Celebration is $60 each. Reserved tables of 10 are available for $500 through Feb. 27. Ticket gives entry in the grand prize drawing for a 7-night vacation in a Hawaii timeshare. Tickets may be purchased from Tahoe Douglas Rotary Club members or at the Lake Tahoe South Shore Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Center at 169 Highway 50 in Stateline, California Visitors Center at 3066 Lake Tahoe Blvd., Lakeside Inn & Casino cashier cage and MontBleu Resort casino cage.
