Masons award scholarship

Edward M. Block, Past Grand Master of Masons in Nevada, presented a $1,000 scholarship to Western Nevada College student Rebecca England. She is a 2008 graduate of Douglas High School and is in her second semester at WNC.

Masons and Sojourners meet at Sharkey's every Friday for lunch and contribute a dollar to the scholarship fund, which in the past 11 years has raised more than $12,000 for local students to defray the cost of their continuing education.
