A 30-year-old Gardnerville woman was jailed on $5,000 cash bail accused of taking items from homes where she was employed as a house cleaner.
East Fork Justice Jim EnEarl appointed lawyer Derrick Lopez to represent Stacia Boddy who faces charges in Truckee, Calif., for similar offenses.
She is accused of taking the items and pawning them or giving goods away to friends.
According to reports, Boddy was working for a cleaning service. When items turned up missing, officials were able to confirm that Boddy worked the days the property was reported missing.
Items included jewelry, an electric shaver and guitar.
Her name allegedly was on several pawn slips. Some of the property has been recovered.
She is charged with theft.
EnEarl set her next court appearance Jan. 28.
Boddy told the judge she is to appear in court in Truckee on Jan. 27.
