A new yoga studio has opened upstairs in the Mountain View Center in Gardnerville.
"The Yoga Loft is a fun and relaxing space to unwind your body with beautiful views of the Sierra and skies," said owner Jill Mustacchio.
Mustacchio has taught yoga in Carson Valley for seven years.
"I have taught to all ages and abilities," she said.
She has a degree in health education from the University of Nevada, Reno, and is a former nurse and Reiki practitioner.
Mustacchio teaches yoga for cancer patients at the Carson Tahoe Cancer Center in Carson City and the Carson Valley Medical Center in Gardnerville.
She has also taught the Wise Owl Yogis class for the Douglas County Senior Center for more than three years and has taught prenatal yoga and yoga for kids.
Mustacchio is hosting classes in her new studio 11:15 a.m. to 12:25 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. From Feb. 17 to April 8, there will be a class 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesdays.
Her yoga flow class, during which yoga sequences are coordinated with modern music, is 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. Thursdays.
The yoga for breast cancer warriors class also meets at The Yoga Loft 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month.
