Kudos - December brings turkeys and more to those in need

The Carson Valley Community Food Closet received the community's full support to supply holiday turkey dinners and canned goods for those in need. This year the number of qualified recipients increased substantially and the demands really emptied shelves faster than they could be restocked. When the call went out for donations, the Valley groups, businesses and individuals responded in force. A sincere and heartfelt thank-you to each and everyone who shared the spirit of Christmas generosity when it was needed most.

The food closet continues to serve qualified families in need in Douglas County. Your continued support throughout the year is appreciated. Currently, we are in need of any kind of canned fruit and fruit cocktail mix.
