Minden attorney Evan Beavers has been appointed a new Nevada attorney for injured workers by Nevada Department of Business & Industry Director Dianne Cornwall
Beavers assumed his duties on July 1, replacing attorney Nancyann Leeder.
The Nevada Attorney for Injured Workers represents injured workers in litigation seeking workers' compensation benefits. Beavers will assist injured workers through the administrative process in their efforts to obtain deserved workers' compensation benefits in accordance with Nevada law.
"We appreciate all the years that Ms. Leeder has worked tirelessly on behalf of injured workers," said Director Cornwall. "We are pleased to now have Mr. Beavers take the helm of the agency. He has outstanding credentials and the experience to advance the interests of Nevada's injured workers."
Beavers received his law degree from the Oklahoma City University School of Law. He is also a graduate of the University of New Mexico, with a bachelor's degree in university studies. Since 1999, Mr. Beavers has managed his own law practice, based in Minden.
"Strong representation and advocacy for injured workers is vital to our community," Beavers said. "I am honored to assume this important role."
