About 150 customers in a square block of Minden will be without electricity from 11 p.m. tonight to 6 a.m. Friday as an NVEnergy crew does maintenance on a power line.
NVEnergy spokesman Karl Walquist said power will be out to customers in an area bordered by County Road, Highway 88, Mackland Avenue and Tenth Street.
"We're doing work late at night so there will be less of an inconvenience for residents," Walquist said.
"If we had another source of power going into that neighborhood, we would be able to provide more power, but we don't. That's why it's important to make sure the maintenance is done and the line is kept in excellent condition."
