A Chamber's Field resident shot and killed a pit bull that was mauling his horses and a cat.

Deputies responded to an address on Amarillo Drive on Sunday morning. According to the residents, the pit bull showed up and appeared to be friendly before it attacked their horse.

After the horse's owner beat the pit bull off with a rake, it went after a foal and had to be driven away. After getting a shotgun, the resident caught the dog attacking his cat. He chased it into the driveway where he shot it.
