A Gardnerville woman was arrested on charges of driving under the influence and child endangerment Tuesday afternoon after being pulled over for speeding.
Stacy Marie Ritz, 34, was pulled over for driving 70 mph in a 55 mph zone on Highway 395 south of Gardnerville.
Ritz's two sons and another passenger were in the vehicle with her.
After denying she'd been drinking, she took a preliminary breath test that revealed her blood alcohol content was over the legal limit.
According to the sheriff's report, Ritz told the deputy she was an alcoholic and drank a pint of vodka in the morning to stop the shakes.
After she was booked, Ritz was given a breath test at the jail which revealed her blood alcohol content was .144.
Her license was suspended in 2007.
