A Gardnerville Ranchos faces up to 20 years in prison for hitting his six-month-old son in the head. Alex Seeber, 19, admitted one count of child abuse or neglect causing substantial bodily harm. "I struck my son in the head," Seeber told Judge Dave Gamble at a hearing.

A Gardnerville man who went from zero to felony DUI by the time he was 22 faces up to six years in prison for his third.

Matthew McClintock, 22, was awaiting sentencing for second DUI when he was arrested for a third in May.

Information on an accident early Saturday morning that closed Highway 395 for three hours is coming in very slowly. We know it was a two vehicle accident and that two people had to be helicoptered for medical treatment.

It's going to be hot again today with a high of 97 degrees under sunny skies. The low tonight will be 58 degrees. The thunderstorm activity has moved back to Thursday.
