The fourth annual Art, Film, and Rock n' Roll Festival returns to Stateline Aug. 14 at the MontBleu Casino.
Doors to the theater will be open at 5 p.m. for the art showcase. Films will be screened at 8 p.m. Tickets for this event can be purchased at the MontBleu box office located inside the casino or by calling (800) 648-3353. Tickets for this event are $12.

On display will be numerous paintings, photographs, sketches, glasswork, metalwork, sculptures, and mixed media. Many of these talented young artists showcasing their work, live or have grown up in the South Lake Tahoe area. Among these participants will be a number of special guest Featured Artists. These rising talents will each have a private station displaying their exceptional work. The art showcase is free of charge from 5-7:30 p.m.
The events main attraction will screen 20 short films from all over country as well as internationally, many of which are esteemed award winners and highly regarded in the horror/sci-fi genre. Audience members will select by vote, the film that will take home "The Beast in Show Award" for the favorite film of the night.
The Blacklist IV will close with an awards ceremony and music, including South Lake Tahoe band Anxiety opening for Detroit punkers The Dogs, whose musical career has spanned 40 years. Young rockers Catch Hell from the Bay area round out the bill. This portion of the event will be held Aug. 15 and hosted by Whiskey Dicks Saloon. Doors open at 9 p.m., show starts at 10 p.m. Tickets for this event will be sold at Whiskey Dicks and at the merchandise booth at the film screening the day prior. Tickets are $10
The Blacklist Art & Film Festival is operated by artists Jeff Speed, Chris Speed, Jessi Seifert, Jason Coffey and Southern California born artist Andy "Dee Dee" Quirk.
