A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for eastern Douglas County, including Topaz Ranch Estates, Wellington and Smith.
Forecasters say the storm is moving south at 5 mph and is producing winds in excess of 60 mph. Quarter size hail and heavy rain are possible from the storm.
The storm will also affect central Lyon County.
The warning is in effect until 3:30 p.m.
