TOAD presents 'Godspell'

The Theatre of Arts Discipline's summer production of the 1970 musical "Godspell" plays at 7 p.m. today and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at Pau-Wa-Lu Middle School, Gardnerville Ranchos.

Tickets are $10 adults, $8 for students and seniors and are available at toadinc@gmail.com or (775) 219-3577.

Based on the Gospel according to St. Matthew, "Godspell" by Stephen Schwartz and John-Michael Tebelak is famous for the song, "Day By Day."

There are 19 students in the play. Sean Derbyshire plays Jesus and Braeden Garrett plays Judas.

The director is Pau-Wa-Lu drama instructor Rich Garrett. Stage manager is Kris Garrett.

Musical arrangements for "Godspell" are by Marshall Brodeur, vocal coach is student actor Brynn Garrett, and the dance instructor is Carson High School student Jessica Shull.

Rich and Kris Garrett direct the Theatre of Arts Discipline community youth theater group for 5- to 18-year-olds.
