EDITOR:
I read with disbelief a May 28 letter that someone had the nerve to write and complain that a person had left a note on their car, regarding leaving a pet in their car while they were inside shopping at a business
I wonder how someone would like to wear a fur coat and sit in a car with the windows partly rolled down, and one small bottle of water. I bet they wouldn't last too long.
The only difference between a human wearing a fur coat on a warm day and a dog, cat or any other fur wearing animal, is that the human can reach over and open the door and get out. I have yet to witness any other animal do this.
Even with the windows partly rolled down, the temperature will still rise, and do to the fabric inside soaking up the heat. It doesn't matter if it was a soft or hard top.
Leave the dog home when you go shopping on a warm day.
I'm sure law enforcement would have offered a stern lecture, about leaving any animals in a car on a warm spring day. Windows down or not.
