The fourth season of the Town of Gardnerville's movies in the park opens dusk today with "Journey to the Center of the Earth 3D" at Heritage Park in Gardnerville. The movie was rescheduled from an earlier showing due to bad weather.
There will be 3D glasses available for $1 at Heritage Park today. Glasses also available at Studio Vogue Salon, Classical Glass, ReMax Realty, Centerfield Sports Bar, Especially for You, Country Carousel, Sharkey's and Felix Pottery.
Bring a blanket, sand chair and bug repellent and watch a movie under the stars. Pack a picnic or enjoy treats offered by Boy Scout Troop 411, Douglas High Music Boosters, Coldstone Creamery, Papa Murphy's Take 'N Bake Pizza, Hound Dog Cart, Centerfield Sports Bar & Grill & Burger King.
Sponsors for this year's movies in the park are Center for Advanced Eye Care, Jobs Peak Pediatrics, ReMax Realty Affiliates, Carson Valley Medical Center, Centerfield Sports Bar & Grill, Sharkey's and Burger King.
Upcoming movies in the park are "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" on July 10, "The Wizard of Oz" on July 31 and Disney's "Wall E." on Aug. 21.
