Local musicians are invited for an acoustic jam, 2:30 - 5 p.m. Sunday at the Eddy Street Book Exchange. Musicians of any acoustic instrument of any level of experience or those who don't play but want to sing along are welcome. Carson Valley Inn

Rolland Dempsey continues in the Carson Valley Inn Cabaret Lounge through Sunday, Mack & Tom play June 29 and Melissa Dru plays June 30-July 5.

Rolland Dempsey and his band play a mix of rhythm and blues, soul and contemporary pop music. Joining vocalist Rolland are Joel Edwards on saxophone, Gary Douglas on bass and vocals, Kevin Tokarz on keyboards and vocals and Brian Jenkins on drums.

The Melissa Dru Band entertains with the sounds of the '70s, '80s, '90s and current tunes. The band is Dru on vocals, electric and acoustic guitar; Mick Hampson on vocals and lead guitar; Paul Rudolph on bass and vocals and Nathan Rodney on drums and vocals.
