The Court-Appointed Special Advocate program of Douglas County is holding a final orientation meeting Friday for those who think they may be interested in volunteering as advocates for children.
CASA training is held once a year and the orientation meeting is an opportunity to learn more about the program, training, caseload, and other information.
Current volunteers will answer questions and share their experiences about advocacy for children who are victims of abuse and neglect or at the center of a custody battle in a divorce.
The meeting is Friday at 1 p.m. on the second floor of the Judicial and Law Enforcement Center in Minden.
