Skinner and Hall married in Hawaii

Megan Skinner and Grant Hall were married Nov. 22, 2008, in Oahu, Hawaii, in a sunset ceremony surrounded by family and friends at the Kailua beach home of Megan's grandmother Lotus and "Uncle" Howell.

Attending the bride were her sisters Leah Skinner from Gardnerville and Leslie Skinner from Reno.

Attending the groom were his brother Drew Hall from Stanford, Calif., and cousin John Budden from Las Vegas. 

Megan is the daughter of Lori and Chris Peters of Gardnerville and Gary Skinner of Carson City. She graduated from Douglas High School in 2004 and attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. 

Grant is the son of Joanie and Ron Hall of Gardnerville. He graduated from Douglas High School in 2003 and from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, in 2008.

The wedding ceremony of traditional Hawaiian and modern cultures featured a luau and entertainment by the Halau Hula `O Kawaili`ula hula troupe.

The couple are at home in Reno where Megan is employed by Dr. Brian Allman and is attending school and Grant is employed by Southwest Gas.

A luau is planned for June in Gardnerville.
