The discussion on the building permit fee was continued on Tuesday after a couple of hours. Politically, the time may not be ripe. But we do have to find some way to keep up our roads and put in the new ones we need.

Today is the deadline to RSVP for the "Retirement Extravaganza" honoring three East Fork chiefs who hung up their turnouts last summer. The party is March 21, and the cost is $25. The folks at the fire district will still be taking reservations after today, but give them a break. They've got to have some idea of how many people are going to attend. Call 782-9040 to RSVP.

Another mostly sunny day with the high temperature cracking 50 for the first time in a while. The wind will be calm and the mercury will continue to climb through the week, nearly hitting 60 on Friday before we get another cooldown. The lows will continue to creep upwards until they rise above freezing on Monday.
