A 19-year-old husband and wife, jailed for burglary of a Gardnerville martial arts studio, face similar charges for breakins at a Minden pizza place last October.
Amanda Golden and her husband Matthew waived preliminary hearings Wednesday and are set to appear March 30 in District Court on felony charges of burglary and theft stemming from breakins at the Pizza Factory in Minden.
The Goldens were sentenced Dec. 27 to five years probation that included jail time after they admitted breaking into Northwest Martial Arts studio in Gardnerville in October.
The breakins at the Pizza Factory occurred the same week.
According to reports, the Goldens originally denied their involvement, but admitted the new crimes in February.
They are both charged with two counts of burglary and one count of theft.
A third codefendant, Phillip Harrison, 23, also was charged with burglary and theft.
Harrison is to appear in East Fork Justice Court on Wednesday. He was released on his own recognizance.
The three are accused of taking $600 and an electric guitar from the Pizza Factory.
The Goldens are in Douglas County Jail where they are serving sentences for the martial arts studio breakins.
Gibbons ordered Matthew Golden to serve one year in Douglas County Jail and pay more than $8,000 restitution to the victim at $200 a month.
Amanda Golden was sentenced to three years in prison, suspended, and ordered to serve nine months in Douglas County jail.
She is to pay $1,085 restitution at $100 a month.
Matthew Golden was on leave from the U.S. Army when the crimes occurred.
