The R-C Morning Report

A reader reported spotting a cougar near Highway 395 between Gardnerville and Leviathan Mine Road. Those of your walking your dogs should be aware that the big cats do live here. They're generally pretty good at not being spotted, and shy away from civilization. But the recent episode in Bridgeport is a reminder to be careful.

School's out today for Collaboration Day, which I'm pretty sure has nothing to do with Vichy France. Anyway, keep an eye out for kids crossing streets on their way to parks and to visit.

It's going to get really warm on Saturday and then cool down overnight as another quick storm rolls through the area. Today will be sunny with a high of 62 and a little bit of breeze. On Sunday, the temperature will climb to 70 degrees as the storm begins to push in. Expect winds of 15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph on Saturday night. And then it will be blustery and cooler on Sunday with a high creeping up to 56 degrees.
