Christ Presbyterian Church

n Palm Sunday service with special music and palm branches, 9:30 a.m. April 5

n Maundy Thursday April 9, 6 p.m. soup dinner followed by special service and Communion at 7 p.m.

n Prayers around the cross, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 10. Candle-lighting ceremony and Scripture reading at 9 a.m. and noon. Service of contemplation and Communion at 3 p.m. Pastor Bill Baltz leads Vespers service at 6 p.m.

n Easter service, 9:30 a.m. April 12, followed by continental breakfast.

St. Gall Catholic Church

n St. Gall Lenten reconciliation service is 7 p.m. April 2. St. Gall Catholic Church celebrates Lent stations of the cross 6 p.m. every Wednesday throughout Lent followed with soup supper.

n The Hispanic Youth Group of St. Thomas Aquinas Cathedral presents a re-enactment of Jesus' journey to Calvary, 12:10 p.m. April 10, at St. Gall Catholic Church, 1342 Centerville, Lane Gardnerville. Information 782-2852.

Easter egg hunts


n An Easter egg hunt sponsored by Carson Valley Medical Center Employee Booster Club and Merrill Gardens Retirement is 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 4 at the medical center, 1107 Highway 395, Gardnerville.

Proceeds from a $3 hot dog lunch benefit Relay for Life. Information, 782-1500.


n Tumbleweeds Gym, 2231 Meridian Blvd., Suite 2, Minden, hosts an Easter egg hunt for children up to 12 years, 2 p.m. April 5. Hot dog and hamburger lunch available for $4 at noon. Information, tumbleweedsforkids.com or 782-4496.


n The Douglas County Parks & Recreation annual tot egg hunt for children 5 and younger is 11 a.m. April 9 at Lampe Park in Gardnerville. Easter bunny available for photos.

n The Carson Valley Active 20-30 Club's annual Easter egg hunt is 1 p.m. April 12 in Lampe Park. Three sessions of egg hunts: up to 3 years, ages 4-7 and ages 8-11.
