Swimming: Tigers strong at Aqua 5

The Douglas High girls' swim team had a strong showing at the Zephyr League Aqua 5 meet at the Carson Valley Swim Center on Friday.

Junior Haley Von Schottenstein won the 50 free (26.19) and the 100 breaststroke (1:12.82) and took third in the 100 fly (1:03.78).

Mary Smithen was third in the 50 free and second in the 100 free, Michelle Forman was third in the 100 free and second in the 100 backstroke and Taylor Killion was third in the 100 back.

Senior Eddie Kollar won the diving competition and Thomas Asher took third.
