A Fish Springs woman reported two men on a camouflage-colored four-wheel all-terrain vehicle shot her cat.
Lileo Sunderland said her orange tabby cat named Snickerdoodle was on her property 11:30 a.m. Friday when the pair drove up and the one on the back of the ATV unslung a rifle and shot him.
Sunderland said a neighbor saw the two, who were described as being in their 20s.
They were wearing helmets and were on an unimproved dirt trail behind the home. The incident has been reported to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office. Sunderland urged anyone who witnessed the incident or has had a cat shot in the area to contact the sheriff's office.
