Douglas to host rodeo May 16 & 17

Douglas County High School rodeo will be May 16 & 17 at the Douglas County Fairgrounds Pine Nut Arena in Gardnerville.

It starts at 9 a.m. on Saturday and at 8 a.m. on Sunday.

Free admission along with the Cowboy Cook Shack sponsored by the local FFA.

There will be an ACTRA roping held on Saturday night after the rodeo sponsored by Tommy Lee Livestock.

Bently Ranch will be sponsoring the cutting events at their ranch on May 15.

Events for the weekend are bull riding, broncs, team and tie down

roping, steer wrestling and barrel racing along with many other events.

The Wrangler Junior High kids will also be competing.
