The wacky waddlers take to the river during Carson Valley Days at the Wacky Waddlers Wiver Wace at Lampe Park on June 14. Proceeds from the sale of the ducks benefit the Carson Valley Community Food Closet.
Ray Sidney of Big George Ventures donated this year's themed biker ducks wearing vests and helmets.
The ducks will be dumped into the slough at Lampe Park and float to the finish line. The Perpetual Duck Trophy is passed to the business or organization whose ducks float to the finish first. Business ducks are $50. Individual ducks are $5 each or $25 for a 6-Quack. Duck purchases are tax-deductible.

Tickets are available at Scolari's, from Pat Cardinal at Re/Max Realty, 1320 Highway 395, Gardnerville; the Minden Street Fair; Harley-Davidson/Buell at 2900 Research Way, Carson City; Candles and Crafts at 1540 Highway 395, Suite 2, Gardnerville and at the Carson Valley Community Food Closet, 1244 Waterloo Lane in Gardnerville. Hours are 1-4 p.m. weekdays, except Thursday, 782-3711.
