Vice President and Mrs. Richard M. Nixon will attend the Nevada Silver Centennial Celebration at Virginia City on June 12. Nixon's visit to the Comstock, marking the 100th anniversary of the discovery of the Comstock Lode, will make him the highest ranking governmental figure to visit the famed mining metropolis since an inspection trip by Gen. Ulysses Grant during the heyday of the Comstock city.
