Wicker finishes tied for 5th at state

Douglas junior Thomas Wicker wrapped up the high school season with a tie for fifth place at the NIAA 4A State Boys Golf Championship at RedHawk in Sparks Thursday.

Wicker shot a 73-76"149 to tie with Green Valley's Ryan Dreen and Spanish Springs' Ren Wilson.


Las Vegas' Raymond Gillip won a one-hole playoff to take the state title over Jordan Gilmore of Spanish Springs with a 72-70-142.


Spanish Springs won the team title with a team score of 754, followed by Coronado and Palo Verde.
