With warnings every day about looming natural and manmade disasters, and remembering Katrina, have you ever wondered what our community would do in a crisis?
I discovered a wonderful resource in our midst this week. It's called Aqua Sun International, www.aqua-sun-intl.com, phone: 783-8566, and they're in Minden.
They offer a full line of water treatment systems, portable and stationary (solar, battery and/or electric), that provide cleaner and safer drinking water from most creeks, rivers, lakes or fresh water sources. Their units are very reasonably priced, easy to set up, and can supply purified drinking water to a community at the drop of a hat. Other countries, the military, various hospitals, churches and the Red Cross have been their primary customers. It sure seems logical to explore their technology and support this community business when considering a crisis preparedness program. Yikes, do we have one?
