A Topaz Ranch Estates woman faces a prison term this morning in Douglas County District Court. In March, Donna Goodwin, 37, admitted she stole from a friend in order to buy methamphetamine. She is scheduled for sentencing today.

A Gardnerville man who allegedly participated in jumping a couple of teenagers on March 12 is scheduled to change his plea in Douglas County District Court this morning. Miguel Rubio, 21, denied the allegation in April and a July 13 trial date was set. In the meantime, the man Rubio was with admitted to attempted robbery with a gang enhancement. Andrew William Tagay, 20, faces up to 10 years in prison at his sentencing June 15.

The forecast has been rolling that 30 percent chance of thunderstorms out ahead a few days, so it's hard to tell what's going on. The National Weather Service is predicting Thursday will provide the best chance for showers and thunderstorms, as the temperature picks up again. Today we're looking at a 10 percent increase.
