One of our readers spotted a commercial airliner circling northern Carson Valley nearly a dozen times at about 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. According to KOLOTV, a Federal Express plane was circling over Northern Nevada after it had a warning light. The plane landed safely and no one was hurt.

Paramedics responded to the Minden Jail on Tuesday night after someone taken into custody for allegedly driving under the influence suffered what was reported to be a grand mal seizure. They took the person for treatment at about 6:45 p.m.

The size of a fire in Alpine County was revised downward to a third of an acre. At the time of the call it looked like the Woodfords area was getting a pretty good squall. It was good to see the big tanker flying over for the Spring Valley fire during the weekend.

The National Weather Service is sticking with Thursday for the time when we stand the highest chance of thunderstorms with 30 percent. Today the chance is 20 percent, but there's no telling what will actually happen. I would suggest saving often and leaving the metal hat in the closet.
